Told through fictionalized oral histories of the band members, their friends and families, and industry insiders, the novel explores a heady mix of substance abuse, artistic collaboration, and impossible love. It was adapted into an Amazon Prime miniseries by the same name and won the 2019 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction.
